I've never like the sudden death format, especially in majors. It's too easy for someone to get lucky on one hole and chip in or hole out from the fairway. (Larry Mize 1987 Masters)

I understand al of the problems with logistics and fans etc, but it seems to me that majors are too important for sudden death.

The four hole aggregate format is a good compromise. I'd rather see them play nine holes or at least six. A player should have a chance to come back from a bad break or lucky break for his opponent.
