Why am I treated like a felon then?

Why do I need to comply to that type of request by a cop for being pulled over?

Don't say that they're in fear for their life because I also am in fear for my life and that I must comply to unreasonable detention while they call for extra backup. They run my plate and see nothing on their screen and I still need to exit the vehicle in the manner I described and be searched!

Is this a police state we now live in?

As a citizen do I still have any rights?
