We have a gardenia 2013 vintage, and there are both metal and wood studs. You can get your house plans from the Sumter County building department. As for the TV mount, IMHO, it depends on the size and weight of the TV and VERY IMPORTANT if the TV will be flush mounted or on and arm, and the size of the mounting plate. On our 75inch TV, I installed a 4 foot (or so) by 6 inch piece of 1/2 inch plywood across 3 studs and attached with screws at each stud, the attached the mounting strip to the plywood. This is a flush mount installation. On a neighbors house with a large and much heavier TV we installed to 3/4 inch boards across 4 studs then installed the mount on the boards.
Hope this helps.
