There are so many strong (and sometimes) racist comments made here in TOTV that are concerning to me. To add on to the above post, there are many professional athletes that give millions of dollars to their communities. They build homes, schools, community centers and much more. Do a little research before you call these athletes thugs and such. Do you not understand what is (and has been happening in America) forever? I have many friends that are black, hispanic, asian, indian, etc and also friends that are cops. Have you ever spoken to any of these people and tried to understand their lives? If so, you may feel a bit differently.
Thanks for letting me vent for a minute.

I agree many athletes give back. JJ Watt (WI boy) is a GREAT example. I'm not sure how many athletes give personal wealth... or instead get corporations to contribute. I just don't know.
Here is my issue... athletes are protesting because black people have been shot by police. The shootings are suspect. They are bringing attention to it. They are using their notoriety to put a spotlight on it.
But why aren't they putting the spotlight on all the black people who are shot (and many killed) in many inner cities (NOT by police)? Why are they not trying to reduce the violence that is happening in these cities. The police shootings are a drop in the bucket to the shootings and murders of innocent black victims every day in major cities. There is so much death and violence. Why aren't professional athletes outraged because so many innocent black lives are being snuffed out?
You can't be outraged by the police shootings of black people, and ignore the violence and death that is happening in the streets to black lives every day in our cities.
