There have been very few power outages that have happened to us while living here in The Villages. Maybe because of the wonderful buried lines almost everywhere. Now and again they will be affected by a "sinkhole type of break" underground. During Hurricane Irma we were without power for a couple of days.

It is my guess, my theory, my attempt to start a rumor, that some of the brief....(up to
a couple hours) power interruptions we experience here may be due to someone having to disconnect some major lines in order to attach some new major lines .

I have always wondered WHY anyone called the power company when their electricity went out. I always assumed that a bunch of people were working like beavers to restore it.

Now I know from reading this Forum that many are worried about having use of their C-Pap machines and many need Oxygen or other crucial health devices.
