If McSally loses her seat in the special election, the vote will take place before her opponent takes the seat, which he could do as early as Nov 30. No matter who wins the White House, Trump will nominate a new justice who will be confirmed if Grassley, Collins, Murkowski, and Graham vote party line. It could take decades to achieve anything resembling an ideological balance at SCOTUS.
