We went with MOVEABLE furniture, this allows us to change the room around if necessary. We actually found a great set of L shaped desk and shelves with pull out file drawers for about 20% of new cost. Took less than $20 for minor repairs and we have exactly what we wanted. This desk and cabinets can be reconfigured to left L, center T, and right L configurations. Also, avoided the murphy or daisy (cabinet) bed and used a sofa bed.
