The Villages Florida

I saw a similar situation on the 466A when the Burger King, Taco Bell and Wendys opened in Trailwinds Village. Drivers were exiting Trailwinds and all exits head west on 466A toward Wildwood and then many make a U Turn at the next intersection. There was no turn lane and it created a backup with cars proceeding at about 50 mph. It was an accident waiting to happen. I emailed the City of Wildwood since I see their police cars patrol that area. I received a phone call about a week later from someone at city hall and a NO U Turn sign was erected at that intersection a short time later.

The correct way to exit Trailwinds Village, which now includes a new Publix, is to go to the red light which has two left turn lanes and enter 466A that way. Ironically a couple of months ago I was sitting at the red light and saw a car going west on 466A stop and make a U Turn, a County Deputy a few cars back whipped around and stopped the car. So if you're in Wildwood area of TV, this website will help.

Other than stop signs, are there parking restriction signs on The Villages residential streets? I don't believe there are any south of 44 but not sure of the northern villages.
