TALLAHASSEE, Fla. —

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Monday that starting next week, all people age 60 and older will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

DeSantis made the announcement during a news conference on Monday in Tallahassee.

The lowered age requirements will begin next Monday, March 15.

DeSantis said that the eligibility will be across the board, at state run sites and retail pharmacy locations.

This is in addition to the existing requirements necessary for COVID-19 vaccine, which include: K-12 teachers, law enforcement officers and firefighters 50 years of age and older, and those deemed extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 by their physician.
Theoretically, there will be enough vaccines available for everyone in the country by May. So - theoretically, I'll be vaccinated by the time I turn 60 - in May.
