I went to Firehouse once and would never go back. They were about to put my large Italian sub with everything on it into an oven. Luckily, I stopped them in time. When I got home and ate it, it wasn't even as good as Subway which are mediocre at best.

Jersey Mike's is the best around, although Publix is ver good as well. The only issue with getting a sub at Publix is the service. It seems that no one in the deli department has any idea of what they should be doing. It takes them forever to make a simply Italian sub.

I never tried the double meat but I might next time. What is the price difference?
