Our friends have passed or moved and we need a new circle of friends. Is it too late at 74 to find a new group of friends. Are most of TV residents going to be much younger?
Advice please---
To answer your question, NO, it is not too late to find friends here. My wife and I are your age. We bought here 7 years ago and were so welcomed by neighbors and others that I can still get emotional about it. I lived in the same place elsewhere for 65 years. I have made more friends here in 7 years than I have back home. I can literally call more than a dozen people and say "Do you want to play golf, pickleball, go to a movie, have a drink and talk solutions to this crazy wonderful world, etc. Or my wife and I can call so many people to go out for dinner, or come over. When we walk in the neighborhood, we see many neighbors we know and are friends with. It is great. I can assure you wherever you decide to move to, you will be welcomed and immediately feel at home.

Here is a bit of the bad side. I've decided The Villages are 90% filled with older people at the end of their journey who just want to enjoy life and others like them. Then there are 10% who are just crabby old people. I live in Pinellas, a wonderful community north of Fenney area, but come sample the lifestyle and make your own decision. You will love it here. Sorry for being so winded.
