Is it too late to move to TV

We are a 74yrs healthy married couple wondering whether it is too late to move to TV.
Our friends have passed or moved and we need a new circle of friends. Is it too late at 74 to find a new group of friends. Are most of TV residents going to be much younger?
Advice please---

According to City-Data in 2019 median resident age was 72.6. The Villages, Florida (FL) profile: population, maps, real estate, averages, homes, statistics, relocation, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, moving, houses, news, sex offenders

Don't buy in the new sections south of 44. The TV sales people are steering all people younger than 60 down there (I know because I have several friends who only used TV and they were specifically told they would be out of place north of 466A (they now wish they'd done their homework). I also have 3 friends who were steered to the new sections (Villages realtors get paid much more for selling new than preowned) and waited the year they were forced not to sell for a profit, then moved more north.
If you are over 70, you won't find many in your age group down there.

Definitely not too late! As others have said, you might prefer the northern areas to the newer villages south of the turnpike. But come on down!

Are you serious. South of 44 is the only place you can buy a new home, they are not steering younger people down here. I was over 70 when I moved here south of 44 and have more friends than I ever had. There are thousands of people living south of 44 that are over 70. Hundreds of people from the northern villages have sold their homes and moved south of 44.

We live south of 44 and are over 70, it is not too late for you to make a move especially into a new village where everyone is new and looking for friends. There is so much socializing down here that you will have more to do than you ever dreamed of. We also bought a rental villa south of 44 and our long term tenants are in their 80's and immediately found friends and love it here. Don't be afraid to make the move and definitely consider the new construction south of 44.

It's never too late to enjoy the rest of your life. If you think it's the right place for you, give'r a go.

Oh my you are soooo wrong.. you people need to visit this area. We have many elder people. You have the wrong idea and attitudes! We have the newer homes, newer buildings, stores, newer bridges and roads. Everyone on my street is 70 and above. I’m tired of people knocking down our area. It’s nicer then the “old” neighborhoods by the squares. Many realtors have said how our areas have the best golf cart tunnels.

Come down and visit and get around and make your own decision

No, it's not too late to move to TV. It's also not too late to rent for a season and see if it's for you.

Good luck finding what's best for you.

I live south of 44 and love it. I guarantee that there are many residents in their 70s. Me? I'm 74.

Come south and take a look. You'll be impressed.
