If you are over 70, you won't find many in your age group down there.
I live south of 44. There is quite a mixture of age down here. I would say what is more important is what you like to do for fun. I am of the "younger generation", however I have friends that are in their seventies and 80s. I moved my parents here they are 82. We did choose a home for them North of 44 in close to Lake Sumter Landing Because of the lifestyle fit that area has to offer them. They are not so much into golfing but do like the atmosphere at Lake Sumter Landing. South of 44 for TV Seem to have focused on much more outdoor activities such as the numerous walking and bicycling trails. There are of course beautiful golf courses but there is a lot more pickleball and outdoor activities in my opinion. So if you don't want to do a lot of walking and outside stuff it may not be for you. Bond $$ paid off or not paid off is a consideration for a buyer and remodel costs up north in an older home as well. Now that we have the connection bridge we have access to ALL of the great spots up north. Age is a number in your head so keep that in mind
