Personally I wish the golf cart drivable age would be raised to 15 with a driving permit, to have the kids (hopefully) know the rules of the road. That is the law in Florida to drive a car, I believe.
It is particularly dangerous to have clueless kids merging with car traffic when the cart lane ends. Not to mention at 4-way stops within villages, gate crossings, etc. Golf carts are not toys. Parents & grandparents should know better.
