It is particularly dangerous to have clueless kids merging with car traffic when the cart lane ends. Not to mention at 4-way stops within villages, gate crossings, etc. Golf carts are not toys. Parents & grandparents should know better.
Would you also support having a valid drivers license at any age a requirement to drive a golf cart ?
