I respect those who chose not to be vaccinated and hope they do the same for those who do.
I also know a number of people who had COVID and suffered no more than a bad case of the flu. Fortunately everyone I know survived. However a couple of young, strong, healthy people I know are now long haulers suffering effects from microembolisms causing reduced lung capacity and reduced mental capacity the remainder of their lives.
From my perspective, the vaccine reduces the risk of serious disease to no more than the flu. But I will still minimize the risk and mask up indoors until the infection rate is at levels not spreading the disease.
