All vaccination doses are accounted for as well as their recipients by the health dept. Give the local health department where you got your vaccine a call and ask them about getting another vaccination card if yours is lost. Sumter County can provide that for you if you were vaccinated in that county. Once again, not saying it’s wrong to track people with their vaccines, as there’s a good reason to do that as part of the ongoing study.

My problem is with the word "tracked" which, to me, implies an active, ongoing process to monitor me. I do not believe there is any active monitoring happening.
Is there a database somewhere linking the vaccine batch number with my name? Probably, and I expect the same for other vaccinations I have had. Is the Covid database with my name in Sumter County? Doubtful. I wouldn't know where to start to request a new card... I might just look into that.
