Gutters will help, but your lanai is still going to get wet depending on which direction the wind/rain is coming from. We had Stipes install our gutters, and they did a great job at a fair price. The gutters do lessen the amount of water that comes into the lanai, but will not eliminate it completely.

A concern for you may be that you are seeking a pretty small job. Contractors are all very busy now, and it may be tough to find one willing to take a small job. Perhaps they could squeeze you in at the end of a day. Also, don't put much stock in what someone says they paid more than a year ago. Materials costs have gone up, and what you will pay today will be much different.
