In Georgia, the gas company took care of this type of problem, I do not recall ever getting this type of letter from them.
So, have you received a similar letter from TECO? How did you respond? Is this one of those needless “extended warranties” contracts? Should I trash it.

TECO is only responsible for the gas line from the street to the meter. Anything beyond the meter is the homeowners responsibility.
