What was the impetus for that piece of legislation? Who pushed it and why. This certainly will make it more likely we will have shoddy construction with code violations going undetected. Imagine you are employed by a construction company in this fire at will state and you see that your employer or another contractor is cutting corners. Now you certainly will not notify the authorities of that defective construction as it will cost you your job. This is bad law. Whistle-blowers need to be protected to protect the public.
