You might need to update the driver. But before you do that, try this:
Power down your computer.
Press the power button on your printer - hold it in, until it starts to shut itself down (most people don't realize it will do this - there's no "off" button, and unplugging it is not the correct way to power it down).
Power off your router.
Power off your modem.
THEN
Power everything back on in this order:
Modem
Router
Desktop computer
Printer
Wait for each step to complete, before going to the next step. The modem will take the longest.
