Balls, fins and snorkels are not on the allowed list either. I had trouble with this one because the sports pools are designed for water volleyball. Pools in TV are (except for two) too shallow for shallow water aerobics for those over 5'5". Had we known this, we might have landed elsewhere.
Do they expect instructors to put in their own pools to practice with resistance and floaty toys?
I think there should be some flexibility for the gentleman who wants to float (and stretch). I would stop by the rec center office and ask if there is a quiet time when you could use your float device. Perhaps you can use it in a lane or two with a friend. This is not peak season.
