Furniture stores can be flexible. Just before we moved here many years ago, we saw a master bedroom set at Carl's, a furniture store in Boca Raton. It was marked 60% off. Southern Lifestyle (owned by The Developer) advertised widely that they would match the price of any store in Florida. So we called and asked them for the 60% price match on that particular set which they would special order. They checked to see that we were right about the price and agreed to match it but the delivery charge would be as if it were coming from the store in Boca, or $500.
So I called Babette's, they offered to do the same 60% off and deliver it for free. Easy choice.
