We must all realize that people selling stuff will not say it is a waste of money. In terms of yellow bulbs they used to sell yellow bug bulbs. I've not seen them or looked for them in years.

In terms of bulbs and attracting insects, Some bugs are attracted to light, others are not.
At one time had one of those black light bug electrocution lights it killed mostly moths which are attracted to light. Never mosquitoes.

We have warm tone LEDs in our lamp post and it does not attract insects. Why-beats me.We have a bottle brush bush by the light-perhaps that is the reason.

Spraying-I am not an organic nut but I've discovered over the years, they are right.
When you spray you not only kill what you wish to kill but you kill the other insects and animals that feed on them. I do not spray. We do not have insect problems. We are loaded with the oreols-small lizzards and they feed on insects. Bats too kill tons of insects.
