The typical electric fuel gauge requires a hole to be cut into the fuel tank, and a couple of wires, ground, power supply, and connection to the fuel gauge. The fuel gauge typically requires about a 2 inch hole in the dash.
There are 2 types of fuel level sensors, vertical and lever, I opted for a vertical as i was not sure of clearances for the lever type.
I checked with 1 or 2 golf cart stores and the cost was around $150 to $200.
