Those are modified/broken exhaust systems on those vehicles and should be against the law.

Most retirement community's are 55 yrs.+, wouldn't you think at that age, they would have it out of their system?

We have air pollution, water pollution, and now noise pollution.

Your Thoughts Please
I agree, I have often posted about excess noise. Particularly noise coming from the pro-type lawnmowers. Many MUST have been modified to have more OPEN and noisy exhaust systems. I doubt that the manufacturers have ones THAT noisy leaving their factories. I have to put on ear defenders when I am inside my house for a lawnmower cutting 2 houses away or across the street - and yes, the windows do rattle. Harley Davidson motorcycles are inherently louder than Honda or Yamaha. Fortunately, where I live, there is NOT too much Harley traffic and they just do one driveby. But, the lawnmowers are nearby for long periods of time and the lots are small and fencing is NOT allowed and there are often few trees or bushes to cancel some of the noise - it travels mostly unimpeded. The younger guys that cut the grass are strangely so immune to noise or so MACHO that they do NOT wear any ear defenders. In a few years, they will be GOOD customers at the hearing aid clinics. They also smoke so much they better hope for lung transplants in 15 years. And the pro lawn mower people drive their trucks like death and the devil are chasing them. I have never seen them get a ticket for speeding and they are always speeding. They also park their trucks and trailers just about in the middle of the street. And if they are mowing a corner lot they INVARIABLY park their rigs in the busier of the 2 possible streets. Its unbelievable - they seem to stir up all my pet peeves. Older TV Land people that do NOT have sensitive HEARING and are practically deaf, Don't realize how lucky THEY REALLY ARE.
