Well, I'm somewhat facetiously referring to Die Hard, the 1986 action movie that changed the action genre as a Christmas movie. It _is_ a Christmas movie in that it takes place at Christmas time, it has a Christmas party as a major part of it and there's plenty of Christmas music in it. It is of course, a hotly debated topic as to it's Christmas cred.
Who can forget "Now I have a machine gun, Ho Ho Ho" complete with a dead terrorist wearing a Santa hat? Or maybe Ellis giving Holly Genero(Holly another reference) a Rolex as a present?
Even at the end, John uses Christmas ribbons to hold his gun, as if he's waiting to give a present to Hans. He does of course, a Christmas eve plummet about 30 stories. A free ride you might say, his final gift to Hans, the best terrorist of all time and an exceptional thief.
