Probably. Surface to human transmission is just about zero, so unless the "schifoosa" spit all over the car and it was still wet, gloves would not be needed. Likewise, any droplets that he might have spewed out in the car will drop out of suspension pretty quick, so a mask is also unnecessary. But it's probably a moot point since the rental company won't sent a car out until it has been "disinfected"
