Medical is not as big a problem if you have the money to travel where the medical is located. However, in some instances, if the medical condition is when time is important travel could be deadly. In big growth communities like The Villages, the influx of so called snowbirds overwhelms the ER and other medical facilities in the area. Wait times are frustrating and can cause pain and suffering during this seasonal time of the year. All that said, for many Florida and especially The Villages is still ahead of whatever is in second place as a retirement community.
