If it’s a whiskey night, I prefer Evan Williams to more expensive brands because it is very sour, which I like mixed with Gosling’s Diet Ginger Beer. For sipping, try Ensign Red Mango flavored Canadian whiskey over crushed ice. It’s like drinking a perfectly ripe mango. Often I drink Not Your Father’s Root Beer, which tastes exactly like a very good root beer but has more alcohol than many beers.
Amari are favorites of mine too. A Negroni might be my favorite cocktail. For refreshing drinks, I like a Campari & club soda or an Aperol spritz. After dinner, some Benedictine & brandy hits the spot.

Thanks for the tip on Not Your Father’s Root Beer. I see that Total Wine carries it and I'll get some.
