Not sure why there is a need for clarification. The note did say the card usage continued to show the amount as it rang up the sale. I can explain the circumstances surrounding the questions but I can't help you understand them. I did not identify the gate since I did not want to fire up a witch hunt and instead would hope the responsible Gate Management would address the role and required consistent behavior for Gate workers. I explained the gas concern in some detail and received some very good responses as to how/why it happened.
