A sense of humor is a gift. My dad had a wonderful sense of humor that got him through some difficult days as he aged and became very ill. . .
Dad was a quiet man, a good listener, and an observer of human nature — who could come up with perfect one-liners — often in situations where the seriousness could be getting heavy — like in the medical things he had to go through.
But even in those most difficult of times, every now and then, he would quietly say a strategic one-liner, giving a lovely laugh to his doctor, nurses, physical therapists, or whoever was there. He used to say, “You gotta laugh.” Our family still tells our “Dad Stories.”
But. . .I digress. . .Now, back to the topic at hand. . .
I have been around TOTV since long before we bought here. In the early years, there was a terrific group of people who could kid around with each other, banter, and have a laugh for the day. (Now — the room that is TOTV has a different feel, mostly. But I cannot seem to stop looking. (sigh))
Anyway, somewhere in the archives here, there is a thread started by The Great Fumar” who I think was everybody’s favorite poster. The topic was farts and we all had a good time with it.
I can find it and bring it here later. (I might need to do a cut and paste and I still don’t know how to do that on my iPad.)
See ya later — and please tell Mr. jebartle to embrace that sense of humor. . .because sometimes, “You gotta laugh.”
I will return with clips from the archives. I think you and Mr. jebartle will like what I will bring you in about an hour. Stay tuned.
