Humans are funny by nature. We have bodily functions we act ashamed of. People are "shocked" by normal or natural behaviors. We put on airs of supposed sophistication and stick our noses in the air to look down our noses at those who have the wonderful ability to see the "sunny side, bright side, funny side" of life and the human condition. That is a mighty high horse. Some folks need to get off'en it and lighten up.
Laughter is good medicine. It can't cure everything, but it can often make the unbearable bearable.
So, the next time the Village Idiot (often, that is me) says, "pull my finger", smile and play along. Even if you don't get a laugh out of it, they will. You can take credit for helping to brighten someone's day.

You would have loved the early days of TOTV. There were lots more bantering, conversational threads like the one I was referencing here. And far less snark.
