However, unless a patient is deficient in one or more vitamins, taking mega-supplements generally only results in very expensive urine, or in the case of fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E, and K), toxic effects. Vit C, zinc and fish oil is unlikely to harm anyone, but realize most of the vitamin C taken as supplements will end up getting flushed (Unless you are serving in the British Navy in 1750 and have scurvy
