A few months back I bought three advertised specials at F.M. of "AT LEAST 10 OZ" prime filets for some single flat price (forgot what the price was already) which they often run to be cooked shortly after I got home and which takes about an hour to cook (pellet smoker). When I got home they looked really small so I put them on my quite accurately weight verified scale and 2 weighed just over 7 OZ and one just under 8 OZ. Their scales weighed in fractions of a pound and not directly in ounces, and I didn't really do the conversions nor did I think I needed to. I had to go back there (~15 mile RT) to get them replaced and the meat guy said "yea, we hear this a lot." The manager was pretty "fresh" when I complained to her but I guess that's why it's called "fresh" market. They couldn't resell the ones I returned and had to throw them out. I asked the guy why rather than toss them he couldn't just tell me to keep them for my aggravation. He said "ask the manager" and I said "no thanks." After all of that they were pretty lousy tasting filets.
