That's for sure...LOL...little story here, I clearly remember when I was much much younger, in southeast Florida. We lived west of 95, but had family who owned a condo at Lauderdale by the Sea. When it was not rented out, we spent weekends there. We had to be VERY careful, because it was a "senior" community. We were in our later 20's. I remember the faces in the windows and on the balconies when we were there... just waiting, watching, for something to complain about, such as if we would have placed a wet towel over a chair on the balcony to dry, but also watched for things that did not involve us at all. People would complain if the community pool was not opened at 7 a.m. sharp, if the attendant would be even 3-5 minutes late, it would completely ruin the day of those who did their laps at EXACTLY 7 a.m. sharp. All kinds of small things seemed to make many miserable. I remember how people would get upset if a new employee did put the pool lounges in EXACTLY the "correct" positions, and then never stop talking about it, all day around the pool. At that time and age it seemed humorous to me ! I told my husband...innocently, "I sure hope we never end up living in one of these senior communities one day, instead of enjoying the ocean, the pool, and the golf course across the street, they seem to find the most satisfaction in just watching for something to complain about".... fast forward 35 years and what do we do...move north to central Florida to a "senior planned community", LOL !
