The Governor's appointment to fill a commissioner vacancy is completely above board, and in compliance with state statute. Filling a commission vacancy ensures the county's business can continue, and the residents be represented, until the next scheduled election. Further, anyone who suggests that Don Wiley is just another puppet of the Developer has obviously never heard him speak, or even watched any of his videos. I believe that Don will be a fair and open-minded commissioner, and will do his best for all residents of Sumter County. The good thing about an interim appointment is that you get to "test drive" the man before you cast a vote in November. For gosh sakes, give the man a chance.
