We have also had problems with mail forwarding from TV. I've learned to do all USPS temporary forwarding via internet, it's worth the $1. Also have changed addresses on various accounts when we change residences (snowbirds) since my bills were arriving late, or not at all. This I do find very annoying as I always pay my bills on time and certainly don't like to pay late fees. Often if this occurs, the late fee can be waived when you call and explain the situation.
I was advised by my bank to change my address on accounts at each move as there are some instances where the sender does not allow forwarding.
Another alternative is to have all of your bills paid automatically by your bank, however, I choose to not do so as I check for any errors before paying, and there are often errors.
Online banking is the way to go; a tremendous savings in many ways, especially with postage on the rise again and no checks to order or write. I like the up-to-the minute look-see of the accounts and easy transfers, as well.
