I have a Makita mower (manually driven), Makita blower and Makita string trimmer. These are all 18 volt series systems. I am very impressed with the quality. I get 3-4 cuttings before having to charge the batteries on the mower. I have so many batteries, that I never have to wait for a charged one.

For what it is worth, we also have a Makita stick broom that runs off the same battery system as all the garden equipment. 1 year in, we are happy with our choices.
