Ask your neighbor if you can use it one time to cut your lawn. See how well it works for you. Does it make it through the entire yard without the battery running out? Is a second battery and charger included?
Does it cut the height you need? St Augustine is cut at 3.5 to 4 inch. Many mowers cannot get that high.
Is the battery a lithium? Nicad = hard pass. NiMH = I would hesitate a lot on it, even at that price.
You might also need to sharpen the blade if it hasn't been done recently. Or swap for a new one.
