If you google state select water heater reset button you will find a few pages describing how to reset it yourself.

If this has never happened in 11 years but has now happened twice in the last four weeks it might be time for a new water heater. Dealing with no hot water, going through the effort of resetting it, or trying to troubleshoot the cause is difficult and could be expensive. With a heater that old, it might just be time to replace it and start fresh.
