Crime did drop during stop and frisk, but not because of stop and frisk. It was demographics. There were far fewer males age 18-25 in the city during that time period. And why was that? Roe v Wade had been decided about 20 years earlier. Yup, forced birth increases crime, pro-choice reduces crime. Makes sense when you think about it.
