Another huge Weber guy here. I've got 3 kettles and 3 Q's. I find them cheap and refurbish them entirely. Kind of a hobby. Got a couple of their no-longer-made fireplace fire pits also. Still looking for a bug zapper, a cooler, lanterns, and tiki torches. If anyone has any they wanna get rid of...

As much as I like Weber, I like the older ones better - while they were still made in America and Weber hadn't been bought out. I'm really a charcoal guy (even do my day-long smoking on a kettle using the snake method).

Anyhow, Weber's customer service is awesome. Call them up with the model number. They will find any part you need to replace. Flavorizer bars, grates, igniter switch, burner tubes, all can be replaced and most can be repaired. If it's the burner tube, poke the holes anew with a push pin / thumb tack. If it's the grates, saturate in Heavy Duty E-Z Off oven cleaner and seal up in a plastic yard leaf bag to marinate for a day or two. Then hose off and clean with warm water/dawn and then hose off again. Igniter switch may simply need a battery or clean the wiring contacts with emory cloth or something similar.

Caveat: Never had a Spirit or a Genesis, so no first hand experience with those.

There is a service where they will bring your Genesis up to like new condition. A lot less expensive than a new one.

I gave away my weber once I changed to a pellet grill. Go with either a Camp Chef woodwind or the new duel pellet or propane grill, the Camp Chef APEX.

I think our Weber is approaching 24 year. The frame is now rusting so we are actually looking to replace it with a smaller 2 burner Weber. The new one is $499. Can’t imagine some replacement parts costing that much. I have replaced the cast iron grates and the flavor bars a couple times.

You can’t go wrong with another Weber. Whether you go charcoal or gas. If you are into smoking meats I would go with a CampChef or the new kid on the block Z-Grill has good reviews. The Weber EPX-6 pellet grill version 2, imo, still has bugs to be addressed.
My “arsenal” consists of a Weber gas grill and a CampChef pellet smoker.
Once again you can’t go wrong with a Weber.

We also have Weber Genesis BBQ and looked at changing the grill to stainless steel. Wowsy expensive, but can't stand the black crap coming off the old original grill that is impossible to clean completely. But definitely cheaper to replace parts than get a new one.

call JB's grill repair and cleaning. 352-459-9936. Repairs can't be more than a new grill. And when he cleans a grill, it looks brand new.

Default Pellet Grill
I would recommend a pellet grill. So much more versatile. I’ve had mine for 3 years now, should have done it years ago. You won’t regret it.

I looked up the information where we ordered parts
It’s “grillparts.com” in Santa Rosa Beach Fl 750-622-9146. They are an excellent company
