Obviously, you know the critical point is to get a competent oncologist with whom you build up a rapport. I think your GP is the best person to make that recommendation since he/she knows you and your situation better than others. Mine sent me to Dr. Iyengar at Lake County Oncology & Hematology in the Sharon Morse Bldg. She is great and I couldn't be happier with her. For my MANY radiation treatments, I went to the Robert Boissoneault Oncology Institute and my treatment was supervised by Dr. Mabanta. They were absolutely wonderful. Like the Morse Bldg, this place is directly next to the hospital and golf cart accessible.
