Happen in the East Bay Hills of the San Francisco Bay Area. The dog heard a noise and started to go out through the dog door. The bobcat dragged it the rest of the way out. If my friend hadn’t been there, the dog would have died. Yes, it was a bobcat, not a panther. They are that strong.
As for panther/mountain lion, I’ve seen film of one hopping over a ten foot fence and dragging a 90lb Akita over it like it was a kitten. Never underestimate the power and strength of a hungry, wild animal.
