May I suggest a move to NC, maybe the "Research Triangle"... I hear the weather is much better and the cost of living is lower...
Lived in Tn, Az, Oregon, Pa, Ca., Kansas, and Nebraska. Also besides humidity, Fl. is closer to the Equator than say Tn. and believe me I could tell the difference. Felt much hotter at the same temperature in the sun of Fl. The sun IS more intense. Actually, I have been to Nashville and it can feel HOT in the summer. The feeling of HEAT can also be affected by altitude and also population density.
