For ECONOMIC REASONS they chose to leave here after three years and move to a seaside villa near (high crime) Mazatlán, Mexico, while also maintaining their home in (more expensive than here) Central Oregon? Perhaps worth noting that this is a self-published “novella” (a little novel), not a novel. 307 pages, but with type I could read from six feet away in an optometrist’s office. I’ve written a number of books and edited more and taught writing, so I’m not without expertise. I read what is available free on online. I was not impressed by the quality of the writing or the humor. I didn’t smile. I wish I could praise it. By the way, the first line of the Gazette review—not in quotes—is a rip-off of a sentence from a review online that IS in quotes.
