I understand. But I have substantial liability coverage on my homeowner's policy as well as my auto policy. Personally, I consider the liability coverage more important on the auto policy than on the homeowner's policy. An umbrella policy is always an option, but it is more expensive than having separate coverages. I am not certain you can get an umbrella policy unless you have home and auto coverage with the same company? I have found that bundling home and auto insurance to be cumbersome, especially when they raise your premiums and you need to switch companies.
