That is not true. The intersection of Meggisson Road and warm springs has 3 of 4 corners devoted to commercial building and there are a lot of acres there. Lots more devoted to commercial on 470 and 301 and in addition there are currently retail lots available having 1800 feet of frontage on 301 directly across from DeLuna, this one will be huge. There will be lots of retail coming in when the owners feel the time is right. Everyone buying down here did not ignore the Turnpike as it was a non-issue and still is for the majority of homes down here. I have never heard Turnpike noise and have been here for over 6 years, it is very quiet and peaceful in most areas of the southern villages. Those that chose to live near the pike got great deals on their homes and rarely do you hear of any complaints as they knew when the bought what they were getting. As far as restaurants go Brownwood had very few when they started building south of 44 and as more homes were sold more restaurants opened, that is the same situation down here, we have 4 or 5 that were built as it grew and many more are in the works. It has been fun watching the growth over the last 6 plus years and will continue to be for the next several years and by then we will be known as the central villages rather than the southern villages.
