How were the pavers installed? if the driveway was trimmed at the street and at the garage your would need to have these pavers removed and the area cleaned (maybe sand blasted?), a suitable bonding agent applied, and the new concrete applied. Now, I can guarantee the new concrete and the old concrete will not match in color. Also, the very thin area will be subject to cracking away from the original pad. Further, the final finish (texture) of the new concrete will not match the original slab, so if you decide to paint (stain) the driveway, the two patched areas will be clearly visible. IMHO, you may be better off having the entire driveway removed and a new driveway poured. I believe this is what our neighbor did several years ago.
